World Computer Exchange (WCE) is a non-profit organization incorporated in the United States and Canada that provides the following services: capacity building, low-cost technologies, content development, training trips, and local recycling. WCE’s services are enhanced by 25 global educational Strategic Allies. WCE’s 800 volunteers assist 750 Partner organizations in 77 developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Since 2000, over 3.6 million youth in 2,850 computer labs located in schools, universities, youth centers and libraries were able to access new skills, understanding and opportunities via the internet on WCE refurbished computers while these computers were kept out of landfills and recycled appropriately.

Everything we do is based on ensuring that a healthy, sustainable Internet is available to everyone – today and for the next billion users.

Mensa, the high IQ society, provides a forum for intellectual exchange among its members. There are members in more than 100 countries around the world.

Activities include the exchange of ideas through lectures, discussions, journals, special-interest groups, and local, regional, national and international gatherings; the investigations of members’ opinions and attitudes; and assistance to researchers, inside and outside Mensa, in projects dealing with intelligence or Mensa.

By drawing upon a cross section of business leaders and experts from 50 ICC member countries, the Digital Economy Commission develops policy position for the Internet and ICTs on behalf of users, providers and operators of information technology. The consensus-building process provides the best platform to develop global voluntary rules and best practice guidelines by articulating concerns to individual governments and helping develop the infrastructure for global on-line trade. Founder of BASIS, the Business Action for the Information Society initiative to coordinate business interests following WSIS.
