Looking forward to keep working and to finish my book project on the art and science of global public policy making.
I’ve been working on the book proposal for academic publishers for some time now and realize that I may need to revise my initial scope. Originally, it was designed as a book looking both at internaitonal relations and public diplomacy theory, and meshing that with practical experiences to highlight the lessons learned.
In the meantime, while laboring over some chapters of the book proposal, namely the comparative titles and how my book would fit into the canon of current literature, I realized that I was out of academia since I had left grad school over thirty years ago. So, I have two options: either to add a year or two (or more) to go back to school and the library to refresh my own theoretical knowledge, or to reduce the scope of my current book and simply make it a practicioner’s handbook.
I guess, I’ll do both, but will start with a practicioner’s handbook while brushing up my theory with current literature.
